Living in Armenia
Student Visa and Temporary Residence Permit
Normally students come on a 180 days visitor visa and, after formalizing the admission at the university, obtain a temporary residence permit. This can be renewed for the duration of the study program.
The University provides students’ Temporary Residence Permit. There is no fee for students’ Temporary Residence Permit.
List of Required Documents for Temporary Residence Permit
- A valid Passport
- Three passports sized photos (Size: 3X4).
- A Cover letter (should include the reason and duration of stay in Armenia)
- Admission letter from the Armenian educational institution
- Tuition fee receipt
- Educational documents: Certificates, degrees and mark sheets; secondary education graduation certificate or Certificates from the University.
- Accommodation proof: It can be a rent agreement or letter from the University (if you choose campus accommodation)
- Evidence of financial means
- Evidence of a valid health insurance
- A power of attorney by the Rector to the specialist who is responsible for foreign students’ residence issues which is presented to Passport and Visa Department of the RA Police, A power of attorney by a student to the specialist who is responsible for foreign students’ residence issues, Copy of the passport of a specialist who is responsible for foreign students’ residence issues.
NOTE: Residence permit application is acceptable after the student is admitted and is on University records. The Residence Permit is cancelled in case the students don’t pay the tuition fee or are expelled from the University.
Cost of Living in Armenia:

We would like to inform you that the cost of living in Armenia is quite affordable and reasonable compared to other European countries.
Students in Armenia generally prefer to rent an apartment for 2-4 people, that’s why most students pay approx. US $ 100 per Month on accommodation. On average, to cover living expenses in Armenia students will need around US $300.00-US $400.00. This includes accommodation, food, utilities, transportation and other essential expenses.
Of course, like everywhere, living costs in Armenia depend mostly on your personal lifestyle․

Each room has its bathroom, cold and hot water.
Each floor has its Kitchen and Refrigerator.
Free WiFi is available at the dormitory.
The students have to cover their meal expenses and can use Dormitory kitchen facilities.
Food
Students can usually enjoy a comfortable life with around US $150.00 per month on food. Each student can determine food expenses individually, depending on their needs.
INDUS AURORA GLOBAL can arrange outside Hostels & Indian Food on daily basis for the students on payment basis, in case they would like to stay outside campus dormitory. Students have choice to stay even outside the campus on their own.
Transport
There are various types of public transport in Armenia, which ensure fast transportation from one place to another.
Route network includes:

The cost of public transport is AMD 100 ($ 0.25). There are also several taxi services in Armenia that are quite affordable and accessible to the public. On average, to cover transportation expenses in Armenia students need around AMD 10.000 ($ 25.00) per month.
